The etching on the blade really pops. Did you do anything to enhance that?

Thanks ,Roy. The pics, is done in silver, but its Mike's, and ultimately his decision. It reminded me of a W&B I have in the tadoo box. But, their inlays.

Nope, that's the original patina. Its like lightly tarnished silver. Just gorgeous IMO. just a little 3M on a rag to clean up the pivot area.

I vote for Gold. But whatever was original would be best. Nice work Mike. That blade is beautiful.

Since it's silver and looks great......I vote silver!
    Let's git-er-DONE!

Just finished pinning-up a Herder #27, the only French-point I snagged off the display board.
With the high-grob, I suppose it may be a round-point too?
15/16 and a lot like the #25's, only a good bit longer.
Wanted one to look factory. Think I did alright.
Found this set of nice Bakelite to fit perfectly. Disassembled the scales and polished them to a high shine.
Dug through and found some vintage silver collars. Added some thin brass spacers.
    Love some slick-black!

I suppose I will now get back to old rusty stuff!

Sweet looking Herder, Tom, especially those glossy Bakelite scales. Reminds me of vintage espresso gear.

Man, some of my best blades are scaled that way. Like a ferking business suit for a blade that means business!
    Love that stuff!

If gold was an original option I would vote for that but if not the silver is fine.
