Here's the Wosty after some sandpaper time.
It still has some old age battle scars that I didn't want to try to grind away at, and you can still see the bevel and spine issues a bit if you are looking close.
That said, it turned out better than expected. It looked rough in the antique store, so I saw it as a good candidate for restoration practice.

Sanding can be a Zen journey. I got a little time in on a Henckels that is hanging on the to do board. I used one of the large curlers that Richard had sent me in a care package. I have to say I like the diameter a lot in part because it is super easy on the hands to hold. It is also long enough that it mostly prevents you from digging holes. Keeping it all flat and even can be a challenge at times.

Gee. I wish outback would post that latest (Hargreaves) razor on Custom Built's and Restorations. Sweet!

I have been quite busy with things, as of lately.
One being a new handle, for a vintage knot that was taken from its failing handle.
I put a propane torch, to the oak handle, and some lite sanding, before sealing with spar urethane.
And working on a few other razors.
And I have the blade cleaned up, and scales in repair, for the one sent by JFK
I filled the repairs with bog oak n epoxy, being the scales will be dyed. Just too much going on, to keep them original. I'll need to hide/ blend the repairs, so to say.
