That turned out quite nice Paul

Thanks to all for the kind words.

So I have just one more out of the four to restore for our new friend Steve: a W. H. Morley & Sons Clover Brand.



This one is just a polish and hone job. That is just a water droplet on the back side scale. It did originally have a gold wash of which you can see the remnants. That will have to come off. I don't really care for gold washing for this reason. Should be pretty straightforward. Probably the hardest part will be the collarless pin on the pivot end.

I'll keep everyone posted on this one too

I'd originally had plans for ivory scales, with scrimshaw work done to them. But looks like its not happening.

Its been sitting for years, waiting. Time to Git R Done

A bit of 800, 1000, 1500, then 000 steel wool to polish out the 1500.



Having a time finding a set of scales that will work with it, so I may have to fabricate a set.

Paul's got me all worked up with his pictures. While most of what he's said he's done makes no sense to me, the pics look quite tasty. In anticipation, i started shaving with my left hand. No blood yet. Worst part is having to cross my right hand over to the hot water spout. Everything in life should be so horrible i guess. Thanks to Paul.

I understand you're self taught Mike, but somehow you taught yourself to be a master at this stuff

I wouldn't go that far, Steve. I'm just a guy who prefers to do everything, himself. If I don't know how, I learn how. I depend on only one person....myself. If others can or have done it, I'll find a way too.

A real, jack of all trades.....that's me.!
