allright.....So I figure to do as Steve suggested. Dots of CA, stick it on. Then, spray coats of Varathane.
I have some broken translucent scales around and will come up with an inlay or a facsimile.
meanwhile, I will be polishing and sizing up some collars for this razor.

    So......is anyone else doing anything?

I just used some 3M Vetbond (CA) to fill some cracks in my heels. The stuff is pretty amazing.

So I scuffed the top of my scale with fine steel wool after polishing the bottom. Using a thin brass spacer as my inlay, put it on masking tape and used a drop of CA, dipping a toothpick in and smeared it thinly around the spacer.
Stuck it on. Maybe if I had used scotch tape I could have had a visual and gotten it more centered!

Out to the shop and a light coat of polyurethane. Says thin coats, recoat within 2 hrs so in an hour I shall recoat.
Reckon I should go get the gloss. They want money for that! Perhaps the semi gloss will hide some sins?

    Just my opinion.
Ed's post here confirmed what I was thinking as I decided to try the polyurethane. Cannot use CA for obvious reasons.
Hoping not to see a bad reaction with the poly.......
