Thanked: 4206Bartmann is on my list still to be acquired as well Steve. Love me them German blades.
So paypal protection and all that,, (as I climb my own soapbox) In theory, works well. Bought me a Palmera for around 100 CDN. Received it all excited only to find a hairline crack climbing into the blade from a small chip at the heel.
Reached out to Spanish seller, sent pics, explained my experience and care as opened. Well he basically said I broke it. I was polite with him. Assured, or tried to that I did not and suggested he refund half my dough and I would keep it and turn it into a modified or something. He said no, he would refund half my dough if I sent it back, return post.
Opened a claim, which was ruled in my favour. But I am responsible for tracked return shipping which would cost an additional $50 to send.
So basically I am out 50% if I return it, or just take the hit and keep it for a hun. and hope for a new blade one day.

Yeah Mike, I know the feeling. I got burned once...............just once but the seller got her payback in the long run. I left a negative feedback & after that she started getting more & more & more until she finally quit eBay! She kept being a dishonest seller & it caught up with her. I hate having to do that but some deserve it. I think I have only left one negative feedback in all the years I've been doing it, maybe two at the most.

Scales thinned, wedge made, check fit.
Alls good.
Now to sand the bevel into the scales and shape the wedge to the scales.

Gonna look great, outback! Some TruOil would be killer on those!
So Richard (Geezer) has suffered a collapsed lung, that is being resolved. Going to be a delay until he can check out and get into rehab."Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.
