    Looks sweet Outback.
So does tru oil have a shelf life? I tried to use tru oil on the blackwood Mike T sent me. And after 24 hrs it was still tacky after the first coat. I decided to wipe it back to base and switch over to varathane finish on the project at hand.
I opened said bottle maybe a year ago, and tend to keep liquid things stored upside down to ensure the seal is tight.
    Just curious..
    Cheers.
And BTW, family totally surprised me with a spontaneous early birthday dinner at the local Caribbean place. All my and my wife's clan were there. Many a fine bottle of liquor was consumed, and received..
    Great night was had..
    Still a little corked,,

I've been gone all day & got in not long ago.
I don't see how outback does it. They must have given him a Bionic heart in the hospital.
I've been busted up & mended back together so many times I guess it's slowly catching up to me.................
    But.............I don't give up!

It might have too much oil , in the wood your using. It does take a while to cure between coats.
I kept a 60w bulb burning constantly, 5-6" away from the scales. Did 2-3 coats a day.

Don't know of a shelf life... Maybe

I really look forward to the next one.... Really...!!
Doesnt matter what kind or make.. There's life in it.. I want to bring it back.

    My dad restored vintage cars...
Me... This seems to be my calling.
For I've only been doing it since the begining of this year, when I restored my first straight.

Love doing it, and learning from all here. So thanks to y'all [emoji106]

Well, it looks great, Outback! I dig the truoil finish. ! Seems like just yesterday I was dogging you for the nutsy-boltsies!

    Excellent magnetically-hanging MikeB52 brush SOTD's, Gents!

Heard from Richard's daughter. He has had a tough go and should be going into rehab tomorrow.
She relates that his phone rings constantly and asks for no phone calls for now. Please pass the word!
    Thanks!

I've kept him in my prayers as you all know. I wish him the best! I have something for him & I still have his address from when he sent me some lapping film about a year ago.

I wrote Austin the other day because I have his email address & he said he had actually been thinking of me but needed my address again so he could send me some of those collars. We've done a few things for each other in the past involving straight razors. He has someone make 'em for him which is why they are so nice. I got a package Friday night & now I have some of those collars as well & I need some to put one straight back together so far. He wants to know how well they work out but from looking at them, they are of excellent quality.
