Tom that turned out excellent! I'm going to use the toothpick idea for sure. I'm on my phone, can't really see too well, did any squeeze out the sides?
First time seeing it done with such detail.
Thank you man! And good job.
Besides that, do you really think any of us doubted whether or not you would achieve success? We are grateful though for the element of suspense you created!

I assume probably happened during heat treating, and was never caught, untill now.
Its a stress crack just under the spine

    Thought it was a scratch....
    But wouldn't sand out.
It runs from just inside the toe, the length of the blade, stopping and starting along the way, going thru the stabilizer and stopping at the letter N.
IT doesn't transfer thru to the other side of the blade thankfully.

Any of you seen this before?
Should i be Leary about it?

It appears that you may have not a crack , but a forging defect known as a cold shut. If so it is not critical merely cosmetic.

Naw, I would just gnaw the ducks out of the backside bolster! Too good for that. Just needing a couple of ducks or an old 'DubleDuck' inlay. Save that, outback! That's an order!
    Thanks, Brother!
