I don't think you're stupid, frankly I'm just confused. If you take a look at post before yours you'll see that Glen definitely sees them as a government run personal investments.

As far as I can tell everything is Obama's fault and nobody else is responsible for anything. But last time I checked Obama was elected by the american people, twice, in free and fair elections. So were all representatives and senators and their reelection rate is 90%.
Somebody is proposing as a solution starting to kill each other and somehow that will make America great.

I suppose living in Canada all I can do is sit back and shake my head. OH, and leave this here.

We need to look for alternatives in upcoming elections. It seems like the more dissatisfied people get the less they vote. This doesn't make sense.

It is actually one of the best ides that ever came down the pipe. In it's original state it was something you paid into, the government invested the funds to keep the quantity of cash available to meet demand and right now there should be a surplus of money to hand out to those who need it AND deserve it.

However, the bankers have ruined the investments , anybody can get it ( not just those that paid into it), they have dipped into the surplus and borrowed against what was left for so long it looks real bad now. Good thing ripped apart by our Nanny state Corporation many call a government.

THIS is one of the basic problems that can easily be fixed. Good luck fighting big money on this one though. Would ruin their whole game.
