Todays project took 9 hours and Im beat!

When we had the plumbing done and had the front yard dug up I had them dig out 7 rose bushes that were along the front of the house. So the dirt grade was way too low when they finished. So I had to bring in some soil and grade the yard so water runs away from the house.

Then built a retaining wall/raised flower bed and filled it.
Damn Im tired. Tomorrow I will plant some new plants of some kind.

Sounds to this old redneck country boy that you need to be in a semi truck so you can rest up

I was thinking something that you would be more likely to eat, like berry bushes. Blueberries look good and taste good.

I wanted to plant some Blueberries when I lived in Elliot Lake but we had enough problems with bears coming into our back yard that it didn't feel wise.

I wanted to go with a couple of veggie plants but the wife wanted flowers and bushes. We got rid of the old roses when doing this to start. My arms and hands can't take the thorns. They eat me up! SWMBO wins so flowers and bushes.
I also got some grass seed put down in front of the bed, a Drip system rebuilt and installed for watering, and dug up the clean-outs for the house plumbing. Covered them with the 6" green round sprinkler boxes so they can be gotten too easy if need be.

New windows for the entire house coming in the next couple of months. That is another job I will drink beer and watch.
