My addition:
Your whole post here Joel is one big hypocrisy. You started with a straight from a Mach 3 and think no one else can do the same successfully? That's ridiculous. I did the same thing and had no problem. A DE is a different shaving method all together and each is a separate matter. One might appeal in terms of learning curve and usefulness to one individual more than another. I also do not see the reason you banned Mike Ratliff. I think that is a bit of elitism right there. He is a member of SRP who has a lot of exerience and knowledge. To ban him for disagreeing with a prominent member's (prominent here at least) OPINION is uncalled for. Also, sure you have plenty of straight users here Doc, only not nearly as many as at straightrazorplace.com which is why I frequent that forum. Will I be banned now also for stating MY opinion? Oldfashioned- GET A STRAIGHT.
Let's see if I get banned too...

Welcome to the club, Mike!
Of course you can have an opinion at B&B, as long as it is the same as the moderators' !
Did I mention that SRP rocks?

well, I talked back to the owner.
I got a mod on AIM, and my computer froze...
Long story short, I got the answer I wanted, and it was that I had been banned by Joel, and game over.
That's okay, if that's the way he runs things over there, I don't have any use for them.
Nothing against any of the members at B&B, but to put it nicely the owner is a Wanker.

Thanked: 2Jole is doing a great deal of damage to B&B, it has many very good members and a great deal of very useful information. Pity that he sees himself as king.

I agree. I did like their idea about the soap box pass, but they really got uptight when someone kept the box a day or two longer than necessary.

Joel can't afford to ban you... Lynn isn't on B&B, Robert doesn't appear to have been banned, but he isn't likely to post there... He was bad mouthing Livi razors... and pretty much everynoe else for that matter. If he continues, he will only hurt himself(and his forum). I was a small fish, he probably thought I would quietly tuck my tail and walk away.
I had 50 posts on B&B before I was banned, all of them in the straight razor section, and I met with nothing but hostility from joel.
I lost nearly 300 posts here in the crash, and I signed on to both forums the same day. Obviously I didn't have much use for them. I am irritated because I thought I was free from foolish adolescent/school yard politics a long time ago... and feel sorry for the members there who are getting their advice from him.
