The RW review that led to papabull being banned started when Joel said RW razor was not worth the price he was charging. the jist i got was it was a good shaver just priced to high for what you got. then RW defended himself (rightfully so), which led to the s**t storm that got him banned.

The thread: is a str8 better than a de... the whole problem i have with what is being said here is Joel did not tell the guy to use a de not a str8. He basically said if you cant get the blade angle to work on a de you are going to have trouble with a str8.

And I responded with a straight is a different tool, why discount a member if he is getting razor burn.

and my thoughts on the custom razor thread over there. I feel that that thread was started with the intention of being a pot stirrer, just to ruffle feathers, to see someone get angry. If you had read the first few posts you would see it was a legit request for makers... nothing more, until Joel came in and bashed pretty much every maker but Zowada and Ellis. Hre specifically listed RW, and stupid me, I asked why

I admit the mood has changed over there in the last couple months or so, but i kind of thought it was just me losing interest. Then i thought maybe it was the surge in membership, maybe there was just a bunch of new people that wanted to blab about everything but shaving. Now i dont know what it is.

I know I have never had any dealing with Joel, but i can understand getting po'd when someone changes what you say, or a product is not what you expect.

Robert Williams from my dealing with him, he is a stand up guy. He sent me a str8 for the price of shipping, and i am grateful to him.

It is a shame the two of them couldn't work out a peaceful resolution, it is also a shame people keep stirring up old stuff, just to see some s**t fly,or to get banned. I take it you believe me to be the one who tried to stir up old stuff, unfortunately I knew nothing asbout it, and my last intention was to see s**t fly, or get banned.

Forgive me for taking your post personal, but my biggest mistake was stepping into a s**t storm I knew nothing about, and when things didn't hold true to me I stuck my head up and said hold on.
I was met with nothing but hostility from the owner of that forum, and for reasons I was unaware of, or were out of my control.
Yes I fought back(in the straight vs DE thread), I told him he was negative and unhelpful, and if he couldn't be constructive he should leave.
and YES I told him to go shave his legs with his DE. So what?

Being a gentleman doesn't mean you have to bend over and take crap from every fool and drunk out there. It means you accept what you can for what it is, and you deal with the remainder.
No man should be expected to take abuse with impunity especially when it is dished out with such malintent.


I am finished with this, i have said my peace, and it is time to move on.
My appologies to Don, Doc, and Lynn for continuing this thread, but sometimes the waters need to be cleared before we can ride the next wave.
