I'm a full-time rural letter carrier. Had a home-based computer service business for about 5 years before that and in order to pay for advertising (and oh yeah bills) I worked part-time delivering mail. Originally, after college, I was a software engineer for about 10 years.

Love being a mailman. I met my "new" wife (you only get married twice in life) in my tiny post office. And since she is younger than me she can and wants to have children. I don't see retirement in my future. Funny how life is.

Im pretty sure I would start boring people with my job details....but I do love my job and the benefits are great I also do some stuff on the side that involves the ethically and morally challanged.

More along the lines of protection services and bail enforcement, but we are still feeling out the market so I dont have a good title to give you.

BTW, most bouncers are ethically and morally challanged lol

I am an actor. My wife and I are founding members of all for One productions, inc. (see www.godsdrama.org for details). Our next play opens next weekend. I'm playing Mr. Birling (a suspect) in J.B. Priestley's An Inspector Calls. I am kindly supported in this field by two local patrons of the arts who allow me to work in their businesses. So I'm a hotel night auditor 5 nights a week and a tobacconist on Saturdays. BTW I have one of Kirk Bosi's pipes which I bought from him at the Chicago Pipe Show. It was one from his personal collection & he decided to get rid of it. Great pipes! I mostly smoke English type mixtures. Penzance was a bit strong for me, but I love Margate. Squadron Leader is one of my all time favorites, along with Pease's Abingdon, and CAO's London Blend 1000.

You seem to love your job and it sounds like with the right route to be very enjoyable especially outside of a big city. But I have a question.. Why do so many letter carriers go postal??
