Shawn, he is high energy and loves to play, and we have been using a ball with a chucker. His energy is good for all of us, as we each are taking him for walks at various times of the day, so he's our exercise trainer.

My good friend has been wanting another German Short Hair & he finally got this one which I've never seen a roan before but that's what she is. She's black with some spots on her. She's AKC.

Had to put my 12 year old black lab down yesterday. Worst part about having a dog. She’ll be missed.

I'm really sorry for the loss of your pup, John. Cherish the fond memories she gave your family and hang tough, brother.
While I don't own a dog, I am fortunate to live in a nice apartment complex (only one I know of in town with a 9-hole short course; my park since I don't golf) that practically requires its tenants own a dog or plan on getting one.
I'm in the middle floor of one 6-unit stairwell. Adjacent apartment has a nice little guy (boston terrier?) -- Julius -- who let me toss his frisbee a few times this morning. Very well-trained pooch. Xena (min-pin) lives above and is owned by my postal counter guy and/or his roommate. Loves to bark -- duh. But, she's not barking at me anymore.
And, their neighbor directly above me also has a dog (corgi) who barks angrily at me any chance he gets. Don't care to know the grouchy bastard's name.
Then there's a retiree here who walks her rescue dog every morning (some chihuahua mix or similar breed) -- Corky -- who's scared of men generally but tolerates my petting her more and more each time.
Guess I'm owning dogs vicariously as folks and dog temperaments allow. With New Year's around the corner, I am expecting to dog sit my brother's monster again. Easy money!--Mark

As it's been said, I'm very sorry for your loss. I've gone through it far too many times.
Until the divorce 12 years ago I'd always had a dog and I do miss having a 'Buddy'--a friend who will forgive you no matter what happens--a friend who will be there waiting for his 'Buddy' to come home.
Maybe some day the stars will align and I'll once again find a buddy. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Thank you, gentlemen. She had a good life and a bunch of brisket trimmings a day before her final send off.
