Alright.....as I posted earlier the Nortons and the DMT came in and I lapped them tonight!!! Did the 1,4 & 8k (skipped the 220 bc dont foresee using it) the lapping went well now I just need to pick out my razors! Have a few bay specials with workable blades coming and will pick from them because I don't want to mess up one that means a bunch to me! Glen, this thread has really blown up into a monster. how many people do you have now? seems like a good cross section between beginners, intermediate and honemeisters.

It has gone way beyond my most optimistic expectations for sure...

Just from some of the ideas that have hit my PM box I think there are going to be quite a bit of new tweaks and tips for pulling the best edge possible out of the N8k...

"At this Point in Time"... I am planning on at least two new Vids myself let alone how many more are getting made...

The best possible outcome is a plethora (fancy word warning) of different ideas and methods that not only get used on the Nortons but people will try on other stones too...

And most importantly, I don't know about you guys but I am sure having fun

ps: at last count we have 34 people in the game

Cant wait for the new videos, should anyone else make a video, NOT as a honing how to but for the pros to check out and give posible advice on?

ABSOLUTELY if you have the ability to make one, go for it...

There is always good info in videos, they tend to spark ideas better for some people then just typing does

Man, this sounds like a lot of fun. If I had a Norton 4/8, I'd be in on it as I struggle to get where I want to be with honing, this challenge would force one to learn and stay focused. Really cool, can't wait to see some results and obtain the knowledge that will be brought forth.
