I have a spurtle laying on my desk between me and the monitor at this moment! That and many others things. I should clean my desk.....

Who knew there was so much to learn about porridge and spurtles? And that the Scots even hosts a World Porridge Championship.
I think I need to step up my game.

Quick and easy breakfast this morning. Plain yogurt, cinnamon, chia seeds, crushed walnuts, and some Northern Comfort.

Nightblade: I found Organic Virgin coconut oil but it looked solid, rather than what I expect of oil. Is that the right stuff?

Yes.Coconut oil will turn from liquid to soft solid and back with the temperature . I keep mine in the pantry cupboard with the olive oil and it's clear and liquid right now. It doesn't hurt anything though. Nice on the Maple syrup by the way. You ain't seen nothin yet though. Go back even further on the posts and you'll see how ground meat and oats can become a savory porridge. And yes you can use breakfast sausage for the ground meat.

I just finished my breakfast themed lunch:
    three slices of bacon
scrambled eggs topped with Frank's Red Hot sauce
    orange
    Assam tea

The bacon was a brand I normally do not buy and I overcooked it. The rest of the meal was spot on.

    Pictures????

I got rear ended on the freeway today. [All is as good as can be for the situation.] The first thing my daughter said is did you take pictures? I did not. I am not of that generation. I thought it was cool that I had a phone handy to call my wife and then my insurance agent.

Yeah, I have a hard time remembering to take pictures before I start eating. About the time I'm finished I think of it.
Sorry to hear about your accident. Hope everything is okay.
