Thanked: 1160"T" I wanted to say also how much I love your little coffee cup. If anybody hasn't figured it out yet, I'm sort of a nut about place settings as much as I am about food.I get giddy around drinkware, flatware, plates etc. and can create a mood like no other if left with a credit card and my own devices heh heh. I always have wanted to open up a sort of Slavic themed tea house with food and I can picture in my head the furniture, drapery, settings etc, but alas a business man I am not and while I have the artistic eye I have not the smarts for starting and running business it's a cruel curse of nature ........sigh

My youngest daughter was here for the day with the grandkids. Chicken and potatoes was requested. So I decided to smoke cook a couple of birds.
After brining in a cure for a couple of days they were well rinsed off, patted dry, bagged up and loaded in my preheated smoker. They look so 'Blah'!
Oh My! After a few hours of gently smoking they are starting to look appetizing.
I took them out before they were up to temp and baked them at 300 deg for about 1/2 of an hour. This is right out of the oven.
Now cut up and sitting along side of the green beans with bacon, mashed potatoes topped with chicken broth simmered with the back of one of the smoked chickens along with some well browned onion then thickened for a gravy.
Dessert was a modified box Dark Chocolate cake mix with homemade butter cream frosting with orange zest and a little orange extract
Seemed to be a big hit!Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.
