The main course was prett simple fare, but we had freshly- picked blackberries for desert.

Freshly picked berries are a treat. And the less they are mass-cultivated the better. The flavor can't be compared to store bought

I had a combined bunch of local blueberries with the blackberries for lunch. It was a nice mix-similar but different.

My wife recently experimented with a raspberry mustard honey. Fresh raspberries, last years honey before the new crop, and store bought ground mustard. Use what you have on hand. Not my first thoughts in ingredient combinations but !

This ain't pretty to look at and I've done this before for breakfast but this is Geeks fault for enticing me with a Scottish breakfast and he might be the only other person who would possibly appreciate this but...........Savory porridge. Yeah , you heard right...looks disgusting but is damn delicious and healthy sorta too.

Combination of rolled and toasted steel cut oats, sweet Italian sausage, corn and onions with a little salt and pepper...delicious for real.Name: IMG_5305.jpg
