    QCS Key Lime - Semogue 830 - Merkur 34C - Floid Suave

    A pounding headache meant I wasn't in the humour for using a straight razor today. The Merkur stepped in for a nice quick two pass shave.

    TUESDAY
    Hot shower prep
    Soap: Razor Rock Boheme sample
    Mug: vintage
    Brush: Ever Ready #308A badger
    Razor: HESS #44
    Aftershock: none
    Splash: Jade ~1960’s
    Today: Recovered from the storm somewhat and ready to enjoy a good shave. The little HESS is always a good friendly blade. The other players did their thing and I am smooth shaven today. The vintage Ever-Ready is a super soft paintbrush and is a great one for soft soaps and creams.
    The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Shavemac D01 two band 30 mm
    Razor: C V Heljestrand 9½
    Soap: Dr Harris Almond + Proraso
    AS: La Toja Manantiales
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Uberclean

    One of the best shaves I've ever had and it's a great feeling/shave when you get one of these!! Fantastic razor, very stiff ½ to 1/4 hallow ground that cut two days growth without any effort, at all.

    Prep - Hot Towel, Palmolive S/S
    Razor - Muhle '11 R41
    Blade - Astra S/P
    Brush - New Forest Tubby 1 Finest
    Soap - Prairie Creations Unscented

    after years of taking soaps for granted, I've finally come to appreciate just how much a soap can affect the outcome of the shave, and Prairie Creations soaps really do suit my skin......

    Default Sun December 09th - December 15th

    Hot shower, Stephan's, warm oil
    Dirty bird scuttle
    Brush, Macasser ebony body with a Lignum Vitae top cap by Pixelfixed
    AOS Lavender shave cream
    Brian Brown, Damascus, Bocote scales
    SRD P1 strop, 100 laps.
    Razorock Aluminum
    Lilac Vegetal
    Vaseline for men

    The brush is really beautiful and the knot started to open up a bit. It holds a ton of lather and is very nice on the skin.
    The razor, amazing as always.

    Enjoy the evening

    Decided to have a quick shave before i went to pick my youngest up from school .... pressed for time i used no pre-shave technique , threw on some lather and went to town ... (a good shave but not as smooth , the importance of a good prep i think is what made the difference !! )

    prep= none
    soap= proraso (green)
    brush= badger
    razor Boker S.S.
    after shave = Clubman Bay Rum
