I have a Robert sorby roughing gouge on the way. Finally have all the things I need for my lathe to start turning brushes. I'm doing odd beginner things like honey dippers first to get comfortable with the tools. Then there's a handful of razors, a 9x2 thuringian, a jnat and some slabs of horn in honey and brown for scales. I finally found a supplier of horn cylinder large enough to turn shaving brushes with, but they don't restock until summer, but I'm on the list to get notified when it arrives.

Just so you know, horn is a bugger to turn. Go at it slow, high RPM, and fresh edges on your tools. It likes to grab.

While I don't have anything in the mail (yet) I'm hoping that I soon will. I'll post pictures when it arrives!

I'll be comparing it to Xpec n Acqua Di Parma. Cant wait to try some thing new.

Those little smiley shumate are beaut razors. Used mine last night.

Haven't used it yet, but I know Mike said that it was a great shaver. I'll probably wait until Sunday to use both.
