Thanked: 1185This one makes me wish we had a Today's Butt Kickin' thread . 10 mile single track on a mountain bike in the woods. This is much harder than riding pavement, for sure. I decided against the fat bike and picked up this Trek 4300 instead. Much more practical for this kind of riding than 47 pound, single speed bike with 4"wide tires that weigh six and a half pounds a piece. Haven't ridden a bike off pavement for years and my technique and condition both need lots of work but it was fun to get out and get some fresh air just the same.
Back behind bars again and loving it. That's what I call single track.
For the record, I was riding with no hands while taking this picture, hopped that big root on the left, threaded the bike between two huge pine trees and continued to buzz down the trail at top speed . No, not so much, actually, I was stopped, drinking water and gasping for breath.The older I get, the better I was
