Thanked: 485I hate missing doing some sort of activity, normally these days it's climbing four days a week with some cycling thrown in. I've stopped the gymnastic ring workouts as I hurt my shoulder, and I think I need to take a whole week off from climbing as my fingers hurt too. It'll be hard to go for a week doing nothing and it'll be too dark at night when I get home to ride the bike (I don't have lights).
Went climbing yesterday, just some easy stuff as I get used to my solo top rope setup. I'd like to get into roped climbing a lot more...
Did the route to the left among others. It's only a grade 16 but the overhangs made it feel harder for me...
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

I had a workout session with a personal trainer team today. The warm-up consisted of biking, jogging, lunges, squats, pushups, and more. The main routing was squat jumps 2 sets of 10 reps, Weighted squats 3 x 10, weighted lunges (my legs were jelly at this point and I couldn't do them), bridges 3 sets of 15 seconds, crunches 2 sets of 25, single-leg balances 3 sets of 15 sec. The cool-down was 3 min. on the exercise bike followed by a stretch routine.
I'm pretty happy that I made it through as well as I did. My legs are already protesting and I'm not looking forward to tomorrow in that regard.Last edited by Leatherstockiings; 04-13-2015 at 04:16 PM.

I finally broke two personal records in my running this last weekend.
I did a half marathon in less than an hour and a half, and managed a full marathon in 3h 10m.
My goal for the summer is to do the full marathon in under 3h.
To achieve that I'm now doing six runs a week.
1 long (+2,5 hours), one or two interval sessions and three to four regular runs on about 1 to 1,5 hours.
I still need to run most of my runs on a threadmill, my crushed foot is still not quite ready for all hard surfaces.
The good thing with that is that I get to catch up on all the series I'm watching on netflix/hbo
I've started to use Hoka One One running shoes and that has helped me get out more. Real smooth runners with extreme cushioning for all us oldtimers/damaged runnersBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Ran my first 5k on the weekend. It seems the chip in my bib didn't work, so I have no idea what my time was. But I did run the whole thing, so that was good enough for me.
Also, I do November Project here and we have finally got back into Commonwealth stadium(local football staduim) this morning, and for the first time I was able to complete the upper west deck in under 30 mins, even made it 1/4-1/3 of the way back.Jon

Beautiful day here in Maryland so checked out the singlespeed (48x18) and headed out to the rolling hills for a quick 11 mile ride.....after a long winter I noticed that some practical joker changed my gearing and the ride was significantly more difficult!
