Yeah I saw on the news man, rough stuff. 42C is 108F for those on the imperial system still.

I don't actually mind it too much myself. I'm having fights with the wife about the air conditioner. I'd rather get around the place in just a pair of shorts but she insists that I 'put some clothes on'... I think we've all got a bit soft...
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

I much prefer the cold weather, more productive (for me anyway). I really like Autumn, the cool night and mild days, good for fishing and other fun stuff... Plus the colours, living in the vineyards it's pretty lovely! I'm sure you've seen it too yeah? Mt Torrens isn't too far from the SA vineyards right?

Yeah, Mount Torrens is nice in autumn with the colours, there's quite a few smaller vineyards around the town itself and yes we're close to one of the best grape growing areas in the country, being the Barossa Valley :-)

You should. I really enjoy them. I started with a 20 lb and have moved up to a 16 kg. Looking around to see if I can find a 20 kg on craigslist.

After two rest days (one planned, the other because of a holiday party), today was a 9k on the erg. Averaged around 2:03 splits. Going to bump up to 10k next time I'm on my long row day. Intervals on the erg (ugh...) and pushupsh (yay) scheduled for tomorrow.

A good solid 34km ride before work this morning.

It's been a while since I've been on the front of the bunch and forgot how tough it was cycling into a head wind.

So yesterday I forgot to bring lunch to work, and the local store nearby work was all out of microwave meals, so I lived off eggs, quark (the dairy kind, not the metaphysical kind) and protein bars (which they did have). Not ideal, but I managed; on the plus side, my half hour lunch break turned into a half hour deadlift break.

    Session 1 - Deadlifts (30 minutes)

    10 reps 45% (warm-up)
    10 reps 60%
    8 reps 75%
    1 rep 100%
    2 reps 95%
    6 reps 85%

    Session 2 - Shoulder press (15 minutes)

    2 x 10 reps 65%
    8 reps 85 %
    4 reps 90%
    1 rep 100%
    2 reps 90%

Cycling to work has been flakey, mainly due to my gears freezing up with all the slush and forest road dirt, a real pain.

Keep at it, gentlemen, and don't forget to have rest days.

7k hill "run" today. Was mostly a walk, going to chalk this up to a rest week. Hoping to hit 35k for the week by Sunday.
