    Thanks Cudarunner. The shape was inspired by the location of the crack. It allowed me to take the crack out while preserving as much of the cutting edge as possible. I didn’t measure before, but she’s about 2 3/4”now. I’m not into the shorties either. This is still long enough for me.

    Oh damn.....Busted! Too floppy for me, brother, but I use it more than any shave brush I have.
    For dusting!

    If it makes you feel any better, the magna brush-B52 made for me is hanging out by the sink.
    Awesome for cleaning intricate things like model cars and such.

    We were young once. Our knots were floppy.

    We just did not know!

    Love them and think of you guys every time I use them!

    See? They are in great shape.

    Mike's is shedding a bit, it seems? Abuse, I would expect!

    Roy, that's a really nice nice Morris rocker (the quartersawn oak "Mission style" ones were popularized in the U.S. by Gustav Stickley). They were really popular in the same period as a lot of great straight razors!

    Well Mike, my Outback Magna-Badger gets used for what it was intended for......lather. It will NEVER see a puck of Williams or a soap concoction either. Only Tabac and Penhaligon's.

    Good call! Seems a ringer for the style of Roy's chair. Might help to date it as well?
    (Look around for Stickley's mark, Roy! Might be worth a TON!)

    These are nearly done, just need to bore out the knot holes, and wet sand the parting lines some.

    Tried some Akron metal flakes in the red one. Stuff is slightly heavy and some settling during cure occurred. Will factor that in for future experiments..
    Thanks for the sparkles Mike, I knew I'd use them for a lil dis and dat..

    Well I don't know what it's worth and it would never be for sale, I'm sure at least one of my kids would want it when I go on that long bike ride to the shave den in the sky. I have looked and any sticker is long gone. However knowing the age would be really nice.

    I did find a picture of one of it's brethren that's an almost perfect match/however this one has a pad on the back and mine never has/well at least as far as I can remember back to the late 50's;

    I found several of the style at Esty and some people were really proud of theirs as some were asking well over $2K.
