miket - i generally clean only and with a buffer. first black emory on a firm wheel and then white on a soft wheel. i like to shoot for a soft reflection, not mirror. mirror drives me a little crazy when i see vivid fingerprints etc. =P

shd - i hear ya. once i saw the blade etch still mostly intact on this old sheffield i just had to match it with some streaked horn. knowing that it adds roughly another hour or two just to cut, thin, straighten and buff the inside scales to get it to the normal starting point.

    happy with the result though.

    happy new year yall!

I like, Pete. Surprises me, sharpton didn't say anything about the double wedge pin. He despises them.

I don't like them on vintage razors, Mike. Fair play on customs, I suppose!

I just figured I'd try something different with the double pins and the matching juma wedge.
That end of the scales is pretty wide, the blade is a tad over 1", and one pin didn't seem to be enough.

I like the pick of material. I have looked at it a few times and the illusion of terxture is awesome. Of course you also did a great job getting it together too. And the razor is kickin!
