Ultrasound2003 The only pins I'd use with that beautiful Fillarmonica are these https://www.ebay.com/itm/263904095830 . I would sand the bottoms down a bit. They will be beautiful. Just sayin.... IMHO, Austin

That's a beauty! I've never shaved with one though of course I've read good things.
I'd prefer to go to Austin for the domes.
The moment to stop with the blade face finish is a tough one for me.
Last night I mostly finished this reaper blade, mirror finish at one angle, perfect vertical grooves from spine to edge at another light angle.. Go back down in grit and keep working them or be happy with where it's at...???
    That's always my question! Lol

Mike T I feel the same way. As hard as I try, I always hard critique my work.
The thing I appreciate the most about this group,
Is that member restores while kind and helpful, Are brutally honest.
While digging thru the files, and asking thru PM's . Scotchbrite wheels in the 4 inch size are very capable.
And dont break the bank. A 6' wheel is $40. a 4' wheel is $6.
The only reason I know, is because of the wisdom of the group.
    TY Sir.

Bam that is money. Great link. That is what I have been hunting for.
Sound advise ajkeene. I saved that seller, buying something from him, maybe a sampler pack.

Hmm, never realize that was called something "scything". I'm fairly certain I end up doing it without thinking (p.s: i LOVE the older blades with that curve...idk why but I just love the curve).

You could call it a slicing motion too, but nobady like to put the words slice and neck together when talking straights.

You can also send Austin a PM and tell him what your wanting. He will put together a special order for ya.

Met someone the other day interested in straight shaving! Already has some experience and gave himself the mandatory painful first shave lol. Offered to touch up a shave ready razor he bought from me for free if he wanted, or try to help with anything else. He seemed really interested!
