I sold my Husqvarna quite a few years ago. Shortly after my daughter was born, I had taken it out for a ride and as usually it was a crazy ride. We have miles and miles of sand dunes and beaches here. afterwards I thought I had too much to protect so i parked it for about three years and thought when i figured I could ride sensibly I get it out of the shed. When I took it out I went for one ride and thought it was time to just let it go. I miss the crazy stuff of days gone by every now and then, but with my job I still get a little rush every now and then.

Great bikes, a mate of mine had an old 2 stroke we used to thrash around. That thing was crazy fast and always tried to throw ya. More fun than a reject race horse.

Funny thing, that's exactly what I am working on. Getting another good reject race horse. 9 speeds, goes through brush 6 ' tall, and swims across rivers. All of the air stunts were surprises but I never fell off it OR spilled my beer :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

It's funny how kids will do that to you. I was talking with a friend about that yesterday. He never rode after his first kid was born. I still ride a sportbike but I ride way more conservative. I still get a knee down now and then but it's rare. And I take it easy in traffic. I used to think that close calls were just part of riding but they are very rare now that I ride defensively.

I parked my Harley Panhead when my Dad passed away 10 years ago. Something snapped in my head I guess. I kick her over once in a while to keep things lubed and keep her polished but the fun is gone.
