Yessir! The fanciest scales i own!

I have shaved with The Admiral a few times but hardly ever use it because of the gold wash. Its still there but a little faded.

At least now i can gawk at it.

Well they say ( whoever "they" are) that perception is 90% of reality. I say I don't like them to shave with but maybe I'm imagining a difference. Oh you can be sure I'm going to hone this one up dead keen and shave with it. I just think it's cool because of the age and personality of it. Of course the Packwood story adds to it also.

The bevel st or creation of a perfect apex is the basis of the edge, if it’s not perfect it will never shave perfect, and wedges are definitely the hardest blades to get the apex perfect.

Don't know that I've ever actually done a bevel set on a wedge, at least not a full wedge. I'll be sure to do my homework and read up before I proceed. "Draw near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools." Right?

    I've always liked the phrase..

Better to be looked at, and thought of as a fool, than to open your mouth, and end all doubt.

But if you don't open your mouth how will they realize that you are not a fool?

A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.
Edit: Just so it's clear that wasn't directed AT anyone. It was just a proverb for reflection.

More often than not it's me who needs to hear the proverbs about fools
