Let's do Sasquatch too! For Herder 49's?

So some nasty chemical shit. GM Carburetor and tune-up conditioner sprayed up into the valve bases.
    Some lovely crap flowing-out!

It will likely be one of two for Herders in a nice box. I’m not sure if they will both be Sasquatch though. I’m still doodling ideas. Only time will tell. I have to pair my “snack attack” as well.

I've gone a little shaggy these days. Decided I'd grow myself a playoff beard. Okay I'm a little early but whatever. Not that I'm superstitious but I think the Lightning have only lost two games out of the last 20 or so since I've been growing the beard. Go Bolts.

I guess this is the "before the shave" side, and the other scale will feature the "after" image

What was your filler, for the epoxy.?

I've been thru my share of...oops! , while repairing horn.
In your scenario, I'd have touched it up with a sharpie, before laying down the CA.

But hey, a little more character isn't going to hurt.

Very nice save on that razor, well done. Those marks on the tang could be "cold shuts" from the forging process.

Thanks for the feedback and encouragement gentlemen! Very much appreciated.

@Outback: The scales are dark brown, so I was looking around for something in my immediate environment that matched the colour, and the only thing I could come up with was... hair! Chopped very fine, almost powder, rinsed in alcohol to de-grease. A good idea, but not sure I'd do it again.

The sharpie idea is a good one, I could also have sanded or scraped the white bloom off if I had realised it would remain after the application of the CA.

Speaking of which, I bought this the other day:

It is a touch-up marker for wood, dark brown in colour, permanent, and transparent, not like a normal sharpie. I tried it on the inside of some scales where a bug bite had been filled with CA, and it did help blend it in, though the colour is quite light.

@BobH, @MikeB52: Not cast, ok! Just never seen this type of defect, and know that some blades were cast around this time.

Really digging that scrimshaw Sasquatch Shaun. Great stylization and working the scale shape buddy!
And going back a few Tom, that starburst wood grain on that round table is really eye catching. See why you are fixing it up! Gonna look spiffy,!
Got my handle stacks all set up to glue.

Thanks Shaun, I am too finally.
So easy to stall at the start of things, but once they start to take on form, the challenging projects almost take on life and start nagging at ya to keep going to get them done. Not hurry, but just keep going, ya know. Just to have them in your hand in the whole. The sum of all deeds as it were.
