Great Jerry-I just finished up and honed another Boker myself-probably one of my top 5 favorite brands.

It's right at Freezing outside right now with snow coming, but I think I can still go out and cut out a few sets of scales. Then do some honing this eve. Got to beat the snow!

You don't have a heater in your shop? You can get pretty warm from one of those small quartz heaters if it's facing you.

My wood shop is a table set on the driveway with some tools on it. I wish i could build a wood shop.
Here we go. Three sets of scales. Now to do the hand sanding. This should keep me busy for a little while.

    Simmons in Purple heart
    Christoffersen wedge in Bloodwood
    Challenger in Rosewood.
The 3 sets I made have bone for a wedge.

The bigger you shed the more stuff you will get until you don’t have enough space

I've got a shed out back that is empty but no power to it. I know I can fix that too but its just too small for wood working tools. Right now its a play house for my granddaughter.

I like that Simmons in the Purpleheart. I've got some of that and some Redheart I'm meaning to use soon.

Finished up The Mois and it's ready for some time on the stones. The uneven hone wear may make this one a challenge (learning opportunity). I was able to hide a lot of the hone wear. Some is still visible, but it looks much better. I took the blade finish to 2000 and then some simichrome and did some minor adjustment to the heel.

I wasn't able to dig up much info about this one. There's one post I found for a No.1 indicating it was made in Germany by Botgen & Sabin between 1900 and 1932. Strazors states the company was in business until 1983 so this one probably isn't a old as a No.1. Mois is listed as a brand name for the company. I couldn't find anything about a No. 5.
