    Thanks SHD, I was thinking the same thing. I polished it to 1000 this afternoon and I'll start burnishing it tonight with a dead Wosty wedge. I may put one of my "finished" edges on it first to see if there's an improvement.

    I will lose 1/8" length and 1/4" of cutting edge. But really with the chip, I'm not losing anything. I'm gaining a useful razor.

    That should work. Not if it agrees to the stones! I did find one spot on the edge that done look real good. But I should be able to hone through it.
