Really? Thanks Shaun. Never seen a kit. I've seen instructions on how to do it. I'll have to search that. You don't happen to know a name of one do you?

I've also thought about the idea of using a stick on shield like contact paper and doing a soda blasting. Of course I don't have a blaster...as of yet at least.
I'll have to do a search. Knowing this forum there's probably a post about it already if not several.Iron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. PR 27:17

Thanked: 4827After Richard let me know about them a few years ago, I bought a Badger brand mini sand blaster. It works amazing for cleaning jimps and would likely do a nice frosted etch. For my purposes the baking soda works fine, you can buy blasting soda, just not in quantities that are sensible for my consumption, so I have never tried it. In the hobby shops you can likely find both the blasters and medium, these day I expect all those shops are online.

Thanked: 3215I buy Arm & Hammer baking soda, in 12 lbs bags from Smart & Final a restaurant supply or Costco, about $10.
It works just fine for small jobs through a HF blast gun & compressor.
We add it to the laundry for extra whitening and it also cleans your washing machine, Our stainless washing machine tub look brand new.

Thanked: 4206Mini sand blaster?
I need to look into this.
Considering between soda and media blaster for my automotive restore. Maybe big soda, with a mini sand might give me the best of both cleaning processes.
Thanks
