My tool shed is the same size as a two car garage. All of my stationary tools are on some sort of roller base. Some are better than others. There is no possible wat to have them all set up at the same time, I just don’t have the square footage. There is a spot on one wall that they line up against, and are underneath a wall cabinet. Not ideal but that how it works best. Some tools have a permanent setup, like the table saw and out feed table. It’s about managing your space. I doubt I would hang a tool, but I have seen some setups with tools mounted on slide outs that can be interchanged on the work bench with different height slots for various tools, and when not in use stored in shelves or a cabinet. Everyone’s has slightly different needs for their storage. I’m certain that you can work this out Jerry. If your first attempt doesn’t flow the way you need it to, just do it again.

Nice saw, Jerry-I know you will figure out and/or make an ingenious storage solution. I would like a new bandsaw myself. My problem is, I keep seeing all these wood-turners on Instagram using these enormous ones to saw up like half a tree for turning stock, making huge bowl blanks, etc. I don't have the money or space for one of those behemoths. My knife-maker buddy does have a Grizzly 14" stand-up model he got on sale; maybe we can work out trades for larger stock.

There is always a trade off. A big band saw has a big foot print and a larger power draw. You can do big work with them. There is also the cost factor. I really want a resaw bandsaw, but space and power are serious factors to consider. In my location I always have to add freight to everything, and it is never inexpensive.

Ive been thinking about how to redesign the wall all my power wood tools or on. A shelf or two is getting me closer to what i want. Still thinking about it.

The wife's surgery is tomorrow so no telling if I will get to this right away. More important things as it goes. But I will do some pictures and see about changing the wall soon.

I always laugh at the people with there cars parked in the driveway as when they open there garages its usually crammed full of stuff. In an area where weather can cause damage to my vehicles i enjoy having them inside. The hail and snow is a major concern around these parts plus i like to have a warm car to get into at 4am.

I can only imagine how some folks feel about living here, close to lake Erie.

When the winds come Nor east, during a winter storm.... You might wake up to this.

Haven't posted in a while..I've been fighting with the last Fredrick restore I finished. The shave was pretty meh and the edge still felt a bit rough. I wound up going back down to 2 layers of tape. The edge finally started feeling smooth after about 5 nights of almost mindless bevel setting. I finished up the progression this weekend and had a very pleasant shave with it today.

It was a bit frustrating at times, but overall I think it helped me push my honing skill up a level.

Everything depends on the bevel set. I limit how much time I work on razors in a sitting. If I can’t get the apex perfect during a 20 minute bevel set it gets cleaned and goes back in the box. I find I get sloppy if I go too long.

I generally have a fairly high tolerance for monotonous/tedious tasks, but you're right, there is a limit. Mine is right around when I start with the mental pep talks to do just a little bit more, then I know it's time to put it up for a bit.
