Today the wife didn't want me around in the Hospital as she said it would be boring and I have other things I could be doing. She was right.
I recently got a Band Saw. But I didn't have a place to store it safely or a bench to use it on as its a bench top model. So I did some head scratching and video watching on youtube and came up with this...
I was going to take pics of before but I just cant never remember when I get on a roll. To the left is a closed cabinet with sliding doors full of radio parts above my Air Compressor. The Cabinet has my buffer and scroll saw on top of it. there are two shelves above that. Nest is a shelf that has my Band Saw, bench sander and a bunch of brake parts as I need to do the brakes on my car. Working Right you see my Wood Lathe on its cabinet that rolls, Table Saw that folds up, Chop (Miter) Saw, Trash can and my Little Red Tool Box. Ha.
The main thing here is the flat board under the shelf with the Band saw on it. It's a "folding, Rolling bench" for wood working tools to be set on while playing with wood. The caster all lock.
Here you can see the latch that holds it against the wall. Pivot it up and the table comes out.
I'm not too sure on how long the casters are going to hold up but the rest of it is solid. Folds up tight and stores back under the shelf when not in use. Also when I pull my two cars back in the garage the doors still open and no issue on getting in and out. I'm running out of space as you can see but its all working so far. Sorry for going on so log but a few guys wanted to see what I came up with when I did so there you go!It's just Sharpening, right?

I forgot to mension that the top of this table was a table top I've been dragging around with me for over 20 years. I used to toss it up on saw horses and walla. Bench. But I wanted more and I had to use my old table top. It has a piece of laminant on it now days as It gets beet to hell at times.
