Sweet Job Mike! Nice third pin action and inlay placement.
Alan should be pleased. If it shaves as well as it looks, oh boy!

Its Sheffield steel, so it should be a treat to shave with, once off the rocks. [emoji6]

Hey Outback what did you use for a spacer on the third pin? Looks great.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

It came out better than I could hope for..... But they always do, when its not yours. It was my first three pin job, and its gonna be sad to see it go. Its soooo damn beautiful [emoji30]
But it was Alan's grandfathers razor, and I've given it all the respect I could, for that reason alone. He took exceptional care of it while he graced this earth, and I felt obliged to do the same, for Alan.

Wow! Thank you so much Mike,
As I told you all I wanted was in order of importance
    1. That it be useable (the only 100% need be requirement)
    2. That you save the inlay if possible (you did!)
    3. If possible save the gold on the blade, I didn't think that was going to really be possible so I want going to be upset if you were unable (You were able!)
After that just do what you thought was best and gotta say what you thought was definitely better than anything I could have imagined!
My grandfather is up there somewhere smiling down at you!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart

It was an honor to do it for you Alan. The thought of your grandpa, was with me through the whole process. Like he was standing beside me , telling me how he wanted things done, so you could enjoy it as much as he did.

I wont be happy till its back in your hands, and safe back home again. I can only imagine the expression on your face, once its in your hands, and you can see how beautiful it turned out.
Like I told you in the PM last night.... She's gonna be hard for me to send back home. [emoji22]

That's what this is all about, helping others out. It isn't a place to talk down to others or make them look bad which I see sometimes & I want no part of that. I like working on straight razors & helping others out which is why I'm here. I must admit though, I haven't been as active as I normally am but I'll speed up the pace again once i get some issues taken care of. Outback has come a long way since he joined a little over a year ago & I'm very proud of him doing the things he's done so far. We all have fun here too & joke around some which is fine. It keeps things from getting so boring at times but the main thing is sharing our knowledge & helping others out. I'm proud to know Mike. He's got a heart of gold & people like that are getting fewer by the day!

Well, now! Outback is a prince, no doubt. Good work, My Friend!

SO, if you all are done with the little group hug, GET BACK TO WORK!

Geeze, next we shall all sing Kumbaya or some such!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
    I rest my case.
