Added a hint of girth to the tang pin area of scales for added strength and durability.

I'm getting excited now. My first total restore close to being done.

I've heard they shave the best till you finish the next one.

Got the razor back from honing this morning and what a sweet shave. The Lexan scales came out better than I thought. Love the micro blasted tang finish. Feels secure in hand. Still have not been able to find out if they came with blasted finish or did some one else do it? No gold but had a little patina in the engraving.

I don't mind the extra time it takes to do by hand but I can't handle the duty cycle anymore. I got a Dremel bit for cutting/shaping the Lexan next time and save the hands a bit. I lost a couple weeks with that flair up. Won't do that again. Har!!

Does not matter at this point~! As long as it shaves and looks good, it's all good!
So what is up with those brush handles?

Thanks, I like that perspective. As a hobbyist I do do it for me.

Got two left in works. Still stripping old thick finish off. Ended up with a drip and had to let cure before fixing that delayed things plus I blew my hands out sanding Lexan. Har!!

No razor work or shaving for me today. I have 50 pounds of bacon, 20 pounds of hog jowl, and two beef briskets in my smoker this morning. Yeah, Sharptonn even us North Dakotans have a taste for beef brisket......masticate, denticate, chump, grind, and swallow.

I wish it was not so far to Dakota. I can almost smell the wonderful flavor.

Yeah! I have old folks over for brisket on occasion. That's when I do the 'toothless' brisket!

Oh, I was wondering about those Rubbersets? So what IS the difference between a #3 and a #4?
Anyone know? Mine is a #3 and is unlike any boar I have had, yet nothing like my vie long horse.

Just finished pinning up a 6/8 DD Goldedge. Will set the bevel after lunch and then off to the JNATs.

Tom, it looks like the #3 has a shorter loft, 61mm & the #4 has a 65mm. Look here:
