Oh yeah BTW, I found some small hinges on eBay awhile back for the AJ Jordan razor box I have. The guy has some even smaller than these 1" x 3/4" & maybe I should have gone with smaller ones but these will do the job..........

They're brass & came with the screws. It beats the fabric hinge the box originally had. Here are the ones I got.

You probably paid less for the box to get the hinges you wanted though................

Who ever did a nice job of peening except there is play in the hinge and the scales don't line up.
The copper may not show in the pic

Not a bad looking straight. The scales might be warped.

    Hi
The scales don't look too bad except for the hinge pin being bent so the scales don't line up.
I will try a shave and see if I think it needs or deserves more.
The edge is some what curved.
I am wondering if it should be ground straight before re honing.

If it is a swayback razor, it is supposed to be curved. Is the spine straight or curved? To me a swayback doesn't look right with a straight edge on it.

Also a straight spine with a curved edge (smile) looks good to me.
    Geezer and outback like this.
