Yes sir Colin! It was an expensive spacer but a conversation technique I guess you could say.

All done. I did a matte finish on this so it would go a little nicer with the existing top. I must say, I really like how the finish came out. I think in the future I might do a matte/gloss combo. Loonie is still in there!

Man that thing is just perfect Andrew! I think I,ll lighten up on my grip this time. And no Substance wasn't a safe door accident this time. Actually I needed a quarter for the vending machine and I tryed to use the Loonie! Thanks Andrew. Tc

The blade for the scales I made a while back are not ready for them yet. Being silly I thought I'd start my first restore with something real messed up in just so that any goofs wouldnt result in a decent blade being ruined by my ham fistedness. Seems I bit off more than I am ready to chew. So out of frustration I set it aside and started on this Norton I picked up. It was in good condition so basically just a clean up.
Here is the blade all cleaned up, not a perfect job but much better than before and good enough for a first try. Sorry no before pics, seems I misplaced them as well.

Now I'm all ready to put the original scales back on but in my sillyness I left the pins and collars somewhere so I cant do it tonight. Rather frustrated as I really hoped to hone it tonight and shave shave with this tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow I can get them and see how well I do with the pinning. I suspect Murphy will rear his head again in some way or another

    Your learning.
Pill bottles are great things to put all your parts in, then you can label them to what razor it goes to.

Here's my masonic Frederick Reynolds. I was able to reuse the original collars. That's what took me so long because i did like AlanQ & I had misplaced the collars. The pics do it no justice. It looks much better in person. Now to hone it................
