Finished up to 2500 grit w/d. And I'm spent! Think I'm good on the blade, now it's scales time.

Thanked: 2284Been away for a bit trying to get moved into my new house, but after stumbling upon a youtube video of this company that uses Plasti-Dip for spraying cars, It gave me an idea.
I got a real bad urge to try this, so I dragged out my lathe and everything I needed to do the job. Here's were I'm currently at.
Hope this works, I'm also trying out tapatalk. My new phone is a hunk of junk and doesn't browse this sight as easy as my old one.Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

So have you dipped the handle in Plasti-dip? I did that with Rustoleum once!

Thanked: 2284I bought the spray so it doesn't leave that "nipple" like thing that forms on the end. Although you need to spray about 8 coats to get the equivelent of one dip. I'm at 5 coats right now and I really like what I'm seeing.
Here, I'll post the video that got me horny. Tom, you being an automotive give might find this interesting.

The bad thing about that stuff is that it can peel easily. As long as your not banging it around should hold up well though. I used it on the bottom of a pair of leather turnshoes to give it some grip.
