Just finished this Winchester. I straightened the scales on this one a few days age and cleaned up the blade yesterday. Sanded out some very light pitting and it came out nice. Did the blueing with the scales on, like the G&F I did earlier. The bluing goes over the top of the spine and on the front of the toe. The line on the shoulder of the spine was a little uneven but it straightened up with about 30 seconds on the 12k. I don't think the markings on this one were originally painted but I went for it anyway.

The paint looks just like it should, same color as they use,too.

Thanks Mike. I wasn't planning to paint it but I glanced at a box of Winchester shells and realized that the paint was pretty close to the red they use.

Ah. That seller. Yes. I don't buy from him. It has nothing to do with his other items either.

It turned out great!

Cleaned the blade, straightened the scales , and gave um a polish.
Will reassemble tomorrow, and get er honed up.

Is that a pretty tiny razor? I have one that looks like that, and it is pretty small.

That would be an Heljestrand Mk. 10....great razors....Swedish steel is superb...can be a PITA to hone though.
