How he finds this info just boggles me. He must drink lots of coffee. I fall asleep looking thru my list of German Razor makers.

Making some stands...Thought I would share how I do it.
1/16 silicon bronze welding rod. A bitch to bend, but I started with it...
Aluminum rod bends SO much easier! I have done brass as well.

I made 100 for a guy once. I made 200 for another nut as well. Big pain! Hurts the hands.

Some fine steel wool and neverdull shines it up nicely..

    I call these 'duck-bill' pliers. 3/8 wide

Beginning to end. I do it all by 'plier-widths' and eyeball. Smash it here, bend it there...

So after you do several, you can get them downright uniform.
I get 8 from a 3-footer with enough left to pin a razor (or two)!

You're not kidding about them being uniform! Those are some slick little razor stands, thanks for sharing the "how to" pics.

    What a great idea.
    Neat and clean and simple.
    This is a "must try."
    Thanks for sharing.

True words, outback! Martin and I had a hoot in that thread.
He is to American razors what Neil Miller was to English ones.

Pulled the ivory from its week long soak in peroxide, but I still need supplies for the repair.
So to the back burner for now, and I'll start on two from a newish member to SRP, Paulbuck. (Forum name)

    Here's what we got.!!
A Kayser Ellison & Co., and a Wm Elliot & Co.

The Kayser is coming out of the Dovo scales, for some new ones, then getting cleaned up and honed.
The Elliot is getting torn down, cleaned up, scales straightened, and honed.
