So you're saying to just take a bit off the toe and the heel?
Just enough to even out the heel and make the toe match correct?Look sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz

Thanked: 4249Yes, take a black marker and draw on the blade what you want to take off, might need to hit the stabilizer as well.
Watch the heel hook Tom will be all over you like fly's on ....

Yeah he is a great guy.
Now in the second picture, If you look, the shine in the stabilizer is also a mark from grinding. To me it looks like it was done on a grinder.Look sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz

Thanked: 2284Tuzi, loving the looks of that blade brother! Love what you're doing with it too.
Dieseld, Shame whoever had that honed the crap out of it, but I'm thinking it still has lots of life left. Martin has given some great advice.
Me, I need to do some turning this weekend. I'm also trying a new finish, yet again, called Formby's tung oil, high gloss. I'm sure a lot of you have heard of it and probably used it. Funny thing about this finish is it's more of a varnish than a tung oil. I've seen some other turners use it on the lathe and the results are very nice.Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

This had something one the blade and i took a gamble and bought it as the seller did not now what it its. Now after polishing i have to fix the flea bites on the scale and than to get it shave ready.

Thanked: 2284Not a very good razor. That razor is HIV positive. That's what that gunk was on the toe. Probably still some there. I have a 1000 yard shooting range here in my back yard, and also own a FULL AUTO AR 99 Chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum (I call it "The Gretzky.") I'll take it from you and duck tape 30lbs of Tanerite to it and dispose of it for you...... I'll PM you my address
