Do the horns from the 1960"s glow and the others don't?

Not quite. Age doesn't seem to matter.

I have 8 out of 15 razors that glow. 1 of two vintage horn razors glow and and the rest are from maze craft supply purchase within a year from today. All the honey horn razors glow best. I'm not sure if I need a better camera or better backlight but I can't seem to get pictures to show it...

Just wondering if that is how they were when they were produced or just a personal preference. I have one, same model, and have to finish it up
    Thanks
This one was blued from the factory.

But being the big Ka-Bar fan I am, I would prefer this razor to be as original as possible.
Besides, I consider that a piece of American history and heritage
I agree. This ones going to live right next to my Clauss USMC.

But is there a way to straighten out warped wood scales?
One of the awesome ones, the scales on the tip are warped quite a bit. Enough that you have to hold the toe away so it doesn't hit.

I'm going to try to have it shave ready for Sunday's SOTD.
It's not in bad shape at all so this shouldn't be a problem. The one thing I noticed is that someone honed one side into the stabilizer on the heel. But I'm guessing that it shouldn't be a problem
You are very welcome, That is gonna be one Bada** SOTD & A Real Gentlemens Shave,Ty

OK here we go with pics, ya know, because it DID happen

    The scales that are warped.......bad

Now the blade and the edge

As I said it was honed to far in the second pic, and a bit behind in the first. I do think I can get this into even and shaveable condition though

This is one of the 2 great Wade & Butchers I got from Addison yesterday. We had a great time and it's always nice to visit with a razor buddy
