    Tonight, new blood. Cattaraugus double hollow. This blade intrigues me so I'm going to start removing chips and cleaning.

    Read what Martin posted in my show and tell post. The design of the hollow grind says you can remove almost an 1/8 " and still be usable. Or something close to that

    These are very cool blades. Here's a picture of mine. It's wide at the bottom like a wedge but thin and flexible in the middle. This means you've got to use a VERY light touch on the hones if you want to keep an even bevel.
