Of course it is old and dry, but this stuff won't crack and split like cowhide or horsehide.
Processing them 2 at a time. Damp cloth rub, Bick leather cleaner, heavy. Then Bick conditioner.
After Damp cloth and drying,Bick cleaner, 3 shots of Bick leather conditioner, both sides. They are turning up nice.
On the right to left. Wiped-down with damp cloth, finished, next 2 are cleaned and awaiting the conditioner tomorrow.
    LOTS of hand-rubbing involved.

Found some NOS fire hose. Only 4 will require some cleaning.
Using the remaining bits to learn how to iron them smooth....

1 fire-hose component and 1 Boar- hide strop will be made to fit a Lipshaw strop for Razorfeld. The rest will be hangars.
    Hardware en-route.
    Lord what have I started?
Im watching a couple of nos boar hide strops currently gotta see first if I win a razor I bid on before pulling the trigger on the leathers. Nice collection Tom.

Ya, the same fellow I got the pile from. I tried to buy him out, but he was smart enough to save some to sell higher. They work out quite nice, FME.
I figure a razor is no good without a strop. I have some razors to sell, so I figure to include a strop with them. I may well be stuck with them before it is over...
    That pigskin is nice stropping!

Gee, I was trying to catch up & for every page I would read, it seemed 5 more would pop up!
No country For old Men is a good but crazy movie. If it were me, i would have looked for a transponder out there where Josh Brolin found the money & left it out there with the dead guy under the tree. Any large amount of money like that is going to have such a device or similar.

Andrew, aka Harrywally, that is an awesome handle!!!

And yes, Machine Gun Mike, ya did a great job on the red imp scales. Everything else I have seen including Tom's Strop Supply is cool!
