    We have a word in France for "windbreaker" that would be literally translated as "wind-cutter" (coupe-vent).

    That would fit quite well with it ! :-)

    Tom, it is always tough following Thaeris but someone has to do it.
    Thaeris, I love those scales. I thought I found a fan like that in an antique shop last September but upon closer examination, it was plastic. It got me excited enough to keep my eyes wide for several days of searching.

    Off the wind-chimes and back to the strop shop.
    My upholstery guy has sewn across the tops and has sewn the little handles on.
    NOT glued-on like the new Kanayamas!

    Every one will get a grommet.....

    Nice chimes. I got my first blade ready to add to my collection for chimes. Its going to be a long time before I got enough but you got to start somewhere. BTW, Nice Strops too.

    The strops are looking really good sharptonn. Hats off the the upholstery guy, tell him we said fine work! You got the leather softened, the nice hardware made, the linen looking good... you must be getting close to putting them together? Nice job it's fun to see the process.
