Dries fast and comes off the top easily. IF you have a scratch, it will be a gold scratch, however.
Some judicious alcohol/q-tip gets it out from recesses you don't want it in.
Seems to wear fine. Comes in silver...Awesome for tang stamps!

After the treatments of conditioner and lots of rubbing, they must hang and dry a week til the color comes in. Waiting for that to assemble the recently finished ones.

I did manage to get a dozen assembled. Still have 6 drying and 6 to clean/condition.
    Takes time...

Bejay that was way better for certain the way to go.
    1: paint pen install color
    2: wiped with paper towel
3: lightly, lightly ran 2000 over that to get what smeared
4: lightly buffed with 3000 trizact.
Took minutes as stated by my new best friend Bejay! Thanks that worked awesomely.

Thanks Bejay, sharptonn and Eric! I've been trying to think of how to do this and over-complicating it in my head in the process. Done and done.

Over complicated the process is what I did to a T. If you would like the pen let me know its yours. Also I can share color samples

Looks great! If there's a little bit of smeared paint left you can also remove it with some metal polish.

Well got the rest of the blade shined up and the letters cleaned out real well.
Used some 91% rubbing alcohol and let it dry for an hour or so and put the bluing on. Now to wait for tomorrow to clean that off and put the blade in the scales.
I think this cleaned up very nicely

Thanks for all you guys doing what you do to show me how it's done.
And the info you have given me to get this one to look it's best
