I trip over stuff, mostly. Finding stuff I hadn't seen in years. Moving planning and prep are coming slowly.
May be I can find the Greaves 9/8th FBU and the more common WB 9/8th that disappeared when I got sick a year and a half ago. Hope springs eternal!

Tossed this in the junk pile about a year ago.... the back side was worse, don't have the photo anymore, sadly. Honed out toe, lots of wear there and overall, I think you'd agree, not a top prio and not a lot of hope.

Then a neighbor asked me if I had a 3/8" razor, said he really enjoyed one he tried recently. So I thought to try and save this one, maybe, possibly squeeze a few more shaves out of it...? We shall see!

I don't like the skinny razors, they require far too much wiping and fill up with lather very fast and the lather blocks my ability to see the blade. That being said they did make a ton of them so there was a market and therefore there must still be people that will be very happy with them the same as in days gone by.

Me too, for those same reasons, plus they are light and skinny, I have big hands, so they feel a little fiddly. I will shave with her tonight though. Here's a pic just after the cleanup, before I fixed the frown.

Since Razorfeld's rattler is long lost by the postals, I have dug around under the towels and found it's brother. Swiped some scales from an old regrind which is too short for them anymore...

A few bug-nibbles on one scale, did not want to mix epoxy for that.
Some Gorilla-glue gel and a dab of bog dust, mixed and applied with a toothpick.
    Will sand it smooth tomorrow....

Richard did not want a polished turd to begin with, so some of outbacks 'blade bling' is working just fine to clean the blade up a bit while leaving the desired patina...

Polished the iron collars from the original scales before drilling them out. One was cracked, but found a matching one in the pile.
I will use those and bronze pins to reassemble.

    This brings up two thoughts.

With lather on the blade you are in many respects shaving blind.

And with 1/16th of an inch of hair why do you need 1/2 inch of lather?
