I just received some of the collars from the gent in Romania.
At a buck apiece and some rod thrown in, a buck to ship. Nice deal!
Now to find something worthy to use them on........

We are fortunate these days to have several guys making a wide assortment of collars for our use!

I made some lead pancakes. I wanted something a little thinner than what I got the first time. 1/4" was too thick, so I cut it in half and made another one at 1/8".

What are you using for a 'Form' for casting?
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Exchange a few e-mail with him, his name is Sorin, really nice guy. Asked him if he would make some out of copper. He turns them on a lathe. he must have better vision then me...
    His response:
Copper is an sticky metal, the chips tend to glue themselves to the cutting tool, tearing the surface and finally stopping the lathe's spindle.
The free cutting brass and free cutting nickel silvee i use are the best alloys for turning on lathe.

I hate the red paint but it was done by my son in his protest stage and I am to lazy to repaint it.
The desk is starting to fill up.

I decided to put a strip of duct tape about halfway back from the front. Nothing can be in front of that tape line unless it has touched my hand in the last 24 hours.

For example I can put my hat and watch there when I go to bed.

The only problem I see is I might develop a ritual of touching everything on my desk when I get up in the morning....

Well I certainly hope it works. We all need inspiration.
I just throw towels over the mess and begin another mess upon the towels.

Think I am kidding? A few razors, blades, and scales under there...Some stuff on top as well!
