You could also use this.
Rub it in, rub it off. Plus it gives a nice shine.

No sanding, or chemicals.
Less than a minute to do.

Its probably the largest hardware store I've ever been in.
Its been around since I was in diapers. But its much bigger now. They have everything imaginable. Lathes and turning tools, sanders, saws of all types, pen turning kits, some exotic woods. All types of CA & Glues/ epoxy. You name it.!!

Its also where I get my brush knots.
