A white vinegar and water soak and a dollop of shampoo will remove the smell, and make them bloom nicely.

    Nice work

Some great pieces of history there Tuzi!
It had to be fun bringing those back to life.
    Fantastic job!

Another fine piece of work Tuzi.

Tuzi, you've got a lot of lathering ahead of you. How is the smell of those knots. Some of the brushes I have gotten were crazy bad smell and other not so much. It is a nice looking bunch of brushes.
I am a bit scared of that Rez. There's a lot of pitting around the stamps, so maybe I'll just make a mess..? I don't know. I normally do that with FeCl and it's hard for me to control. I admit, my skills in this area are lacking a bit.

I put together a new to me work bench/desk in my bedroom. I figured that I should take a picture while it is still empty!

When I hung the picture I didn't think of it but it is pretty appropriate.

I hate the red paint but it was done by my son in his protest stage and I am to lazy to repaint it.

found these twins in an antique store in columbia pa the other day. Frederick Reynolds - 7/8 near wedges. cleaned them up yesterday and honed them up today. they both (surprisingly) took a nice, clean edge without any fuss and are stropped up and waiting for a test shave.

the hardest part of my shave is deciding which razor and soap to use. woe is me.

Nice razors, Sloan! I love hearing about finding stuff in the wild. I would have jumped all over those too!
